Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 18 months in specialty within the past 3 years License: Valid state or compact license in hand Certifications: CCRN preferred Must-Have: Ability to manage arterial lines and pulmonary artery catheters; experience with LVADs and multiple drips Description: This position involves working in a moderate care unit with a combination of low acuity critical care patients awaiting placement in higher levels of care. Patients will not require mechanical ventilation or advanced cardiac assist devices. The unit accommodates patients requiring monitoring following same-day procedures while planning for discharge. The work environment is fast-paced with a high volume of patient turnover and a wide variety of diagnoses. It offers an excellent opportunity for learning about cardiovascular procedures and diagnoses. Working in this setting will enhance organizational skills and critical thinking abilities. The role is designed to further develop critical care skills and refine assessment capabilities. A rhythm identification test will be required upon starting the position with two attempts allowed.
