Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience required License: Active RN Licensure Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Successful completion of EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum score of 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms Description: This position involves the care of admitted patients with varying diagnoses who are boarding in the emergency department while awaiting placement in inpatient units. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring and managing telemetry and interpreting dysrhythmias. Experience with IV therapy, insulin protocols, and phlebotomy is required. Candidates must be prepared to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed. Weekend shifts are required, with every other weekend scheduled. The nurse will utilize Cerner for charting and work with a ratio of 1:4-5 patients. Nurses must be willing to accept assignments that may include caring for COVID-19 patients. All staff must follow isolation precautions and adhere to protocols for patient care and safety.
