Description:
This position requires a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit specializing in Stepdown.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Stepdown nursing in an acute care setting.
The nurse will work 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM every other weekend.
The nurse will care for patients with a variety of cardiac diagnoses.
Common diagnoses include CABG, cardiovascular surgery, arteriograms, and CHF.
The unit has nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5, with an average census of 32-38 patients.
The nurse will be expected to administer drips, including Cardizem, amiodarone, and dobutamine.
The unit requires nurses to be comfortable floating to ICU when necessary.
Candidates should possess the ability to pull pacer wires.
The team will consist of nurse aides, and there will be a charge nurse overseeing operations.
Applicants should have no visible tattoos, facial piercings, or artificial nails.
The dress code requires natural hair colors.
There is a strict policy regarding attendance and flexibility for holiday shifts.
