Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required. License: Active nursing license required at submission. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH required. Must-Have: Cardiac telemetry experience required. Experience with the management and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Experience in peripheral line care and management, PICC line management. Ability to titrate drips. Experience with PCU ratios of 1:5. Floating required as needed. Description: This position requires a registered nurse with expertise in progressive care nursing. The nurse will work in a unit that provides telemetry monitored beds for cardiac surveillance. Patients primarily include those with conditions such as stroke and sepsis. Additional patient diagnoses include endocrine, gastrointestinal, and hematological disorders. The nurse will manage complex care, including total care patients. Required skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and wound care. The role involves administering IV insulin and managing cardiac and vasoactive drips. Candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of isolation precautions and oxygen administration. This is a fast-paced environment, and the nurse must be able to respond to various patient needs efficiently. There is a need for teamwork and coordination with other healthcare professionals in the unit. The nursing staff will float between campuses as necessary. Successful candidates will undergo an EKG exam as part of the compliance process.
