Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: IMC Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 completed travel assignment. Previous experience in an ICU or intermediate care setting with a patient acuity of at least 1:3 is required. License: Active SC or multistate license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience in cardiac monitoring and emergency response. Medication management skills, including titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips. Ventilator experience. Charting experience with EPIC is required. Description: This position requires working with adult patients, including trauma, medical, surgical, and neurology cases. Patients require monitoring or interventions every 1-2 hours. Direct admissions, ICU transfers, and escalations from Rapid Response Teams are managed in this unit. Clinicians must demonstrate proficiency in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias. Experience in ICU or intermediate care settings is vital. Progressive care settings experience will be considered. Responsibilities include administering medications and managing patient care with the necessary equipment. Floating to other units or campuses may be required based on patient census and staffing needs. The interdisciplinary support team includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Daily patient management includes trauma, medical, surgical, and neurology patients requiring close monitoring. The use of specialized equipment, such as patient repositioners and ceiling lifts, is standard practice in this role. Continuous improvement and adherence to safety protocols are expected. Effective communication with the healthcare team is essential for optimal patient outcomes.
