Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Step Down or ICU License: Current RN License with eligibility for licensure in the state Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only Must-Have Skills/Experience: Step Down or ICU experience is required. Experience with post-op care, BiPAP, and cardiac medications is necessary. Strong time management and critical thinking skills are essential. Description: The position involves providing direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Utilizes the nursing process to deliver patient care. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation following established guidelines of nursing practice. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities while adhering to mission values and service standards. The role requires standing and walking most of the time. It involves bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance. May require working differing schedules or shifts according to patient care requirements. There is a high risk of exposure to blood and body fluids. Essential physical demands include pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs., pinching up to 15 lbs., kneeling, crouching, and crawling minimally. Maintains professional accountability for providing patient care for those with post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities.
