This role involves delivering highly individualized care to medical, cardiac, and surgical complex patients requiring intermediate care. Key Responsibilities of the Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse
  • Perform Q6H head-to-toe assessments and fully chart each one
  • Administer and titrate medications including Dopamine, Dobutrex, and Nitro
  • Manage a cardiac patient population and perform critical care tasks
  • Conduct procedures on unit such as Foley placement, IV insertion, and EKGs
  • Collaborate with a team to maintain high patient satisfaction and care standards

Requirements of the Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Experience in cardiac/telemetry and PCU/critical care
  • Proficiency in IV insertion, chest tube management, and EKG
