Description:
This role is for a registered nurse working in a medical-surgical unit that frequently floats to the step-down and other medical-surgical/telemetry units.
The nurse must be comfortable performing duties in both settings.
The position requires working 12-hour shifts from 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m., every other weekend.
Flexibility to float is essential, and the nurse will be expected to manage care in various patient environments.
Patient demographics will include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Knowledge in accessing and managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and telemetry monitoring is required.
Additionally, candidates should be experienced in starting IVs and managing dysrhythmias, among other nursing skills.
Travel experience is preferred, but first-time travelers will be accepted.
The facility follows strict policies regarding floating and expects staff to comply with current standards and guidelines.
Candidates will be required to complete modules prior to starting their assignment.
Expectations include working some holidays and weekends in rotation with the staff.
