Job Title: Clinical Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: One (1) year of nursing experience required License: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification Must-Have: - Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing Description: Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reports to the Nurse Manager/Director. Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self. Attends education programs based on identified learning needs. Utilizes patient education materials relevant to patient population with assistance. Assesses readiness to learn of the patient, family, and caregivers. Recognizes factors affecting the ability to learn and assesses developmental levels of patients. Identifies expected patient outcomes and seeks guidance as needed in revising the plan of care. Participates in discussions with interdisciplinary team members regarding evaluation of patient care. Communicates relevant information to promote continuity of care.
