Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: One (1) year of nursing experience License: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) Must-Have: ACLS, NIHSS, CHARGE, and Precepting Description: Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reports and is accountable to the Nurse Manager or Director. Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self. Attends education programs based on identified learning needs. Uses patient education materials relevant to patient population with assistance. Assesses readiness to learn of the patient, family, and caregivers. Assesses the developmental level of the patient and factors affecting the ability to learn. Identifies expected patient outcomes and seeks guidance as needed in revision of the plan of care. Participates in discussion with members of the interdisciplinary team in evaluation of patient care. Communicates relevant information to promote continuity of care.
