Description:
The position is for a Registered Nurse in a medical PCU unit.
The unit has 24-25 beds, with a focus on cardiac and medical stepdown patients.
Patient types include those recovering from cardiac surgeries and other serious medical conditions.
The nurse will be assigned to a home unit during orientation.
Responsibilities include managing cardiac drips, insulin drips, and vasopressors.
The nurse must have skills in central line management, wound care, and other general PCU skills.
The unit offers support staff, including CNAs and charge nurses.
Charting is done using an electronic medical record system.
Weekend rotation requires working every other weekend, with a 4 days one week and 3 days the next week schedule.
Holiday expectations include working 2 out of 3 major holidays.
