- Experience managing various patient populations, including adults and geriatrics.
- Familiarity with Epic charting system is required.
Description:
The ideal candidate should have at least one year of relevant experience.
First-time travelers are accepted.
This position involves caring for a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatric patients.
The certifications required for this role include BLS, ACLS, and NIH.
The candidate must possess skills to manage potential medical/surgical, medical/surgical telemetry, and PCU diagnoses.
Patient ratios may be 1:4-5 for PCU and 1:5-6 for medical/surgical and medical/surgical telemetry.
Travelers are expected to work if one major holiday falls during the assignment.
If two major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work both holidays.
If three major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work two holidays.
Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year’s Eve/Day.
Full compliance is required to ensure a timely start.
The candidate must complete onboarding, core items, and labs promptly.
The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including working every other weekend.
Experience in charge roles is preferred but not mandatory.
The candidate should be proficient in various nursing skills including, but not limited to, telemetry, ventilator management, and wound care.
