Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Float Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Float required to various units within the facility. Experience with Epic charting system. Description: Registered Nurse with specialty in PCU Float needed. Responsibilities include managing care for adults to geriatric patients. Must be comfortable floating to various medical-surgical, telemetry, and PCU units. Patient ratios are approximately 1:4-5 in PCU and 1:5-6 in medical-surgical and telemetry. Expectations include working weekends at least every other weekend, averaging 6 weekends in a 13-week contract. If scheduled for major holidays, the nurse is expected to work one to two holidays based on the assignment period. Full compliance with onboarding requirements is essential to start on time. Must have experience with the management of various patient care scenarios including complex patients. Skills required include the administration of blood products, care of ventilated patients, and management of dysrhythmias. Required to start and maintain IVs, manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration, and provide wound care. This position is responsible for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes. Nurses will need to demonstrate proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Candidates should be willing to float to different units as needed and adapt to varying patient care environments.
