Description:
This position is for a Medical Progressive Care Unit with a mixture of patients.
The unit has 12 beds and operates with a nursing staff model that includes a charge nurse and several RNs and patient care technicians during shifts.
The ideal staffing on a night shift, when the unit is full, is one charge nurse, three registered nurses, and one to two patient care technicians.
Patient ratios are typically 4:1.
The unit utilizes an electronic medical record system for documentation.
There are no on-call requirements or floating necessary in this role.
Candidates with experience in travel nursing or similar patient care environments are highly recruited.
A positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team are crucial for success on this unit.
