Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum of 1-year current acute care Pre-Operative (Pre Op) nursing experience, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications, candidates with some preoperative experience or Meditech electronic medical record experience are preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior Pre-Op nursing experience, familiarity with procedures such as Urology, GYN, outpatient infusions, EKGs, blood transfusions, and use of modern equipment like Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machine, Doppler, and bladder scanner
- Additional Information: The role requires working in a unit with 9 Pre-Operative beds and 5 Phase 2 recovery beds. Staffing includes full-time, part-time, and PRN RNs, with a focus on patient satisfaction, effective communication, and adherence to unit policies. The position involves on-call duties, including two 10-hour weekend shifts every 8-9 weekends, with a 30-minute response time while on call.
