Registered Nurse – Pediatric PACU

Schedule / Job TypeContract (13 Weeks) | Onsite | Days/Evenings | 4x10-Hour Shifts (Start times between 6:30 AM – 1:00 PM) | Occasional Weekends | On-Call Requirements Apply
Key Responsibilities- Provide Phase 1 and Phase 2 post-anesthesia recovery care for pediatric patients in a PACU setting
- Manage central lines and care for tracheostomy patients as part of routine clinical duties
- Monitor and assess acutely ill pediatric patients across a wide variety of post-surgical and procedural cases
- Participate in on-call rotation as determined by the unit-based staffing committee, with a current requirement of 4 hours per 6-week period and response within 1 hour of call-in
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient transitions through recovery phases
Required Qualifications- Active Washington State RN license or Compact RN license (must be willing to obtain Washington license upon offer if not currently held)
- Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience with at least 30–40% pediatric patient population
- Demonstrated experience with central line management and tracheostomy patients
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- Copies of all required certifications must be provided at time of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills- Phase 1 and Phase 2 PACU recovery experience strongly preferred
- Experience with IV therapy, ventilator management, and tracheostomy care
- Varied PACU experience across multiple practice settings with a wide variety of acutely ill patient types, preferably in an academic environment
- Prior travel nursing experience and Epic EMR familiarity
