Key Responsibilities
Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical or procedural interventions
Monitor and assess patient vital signs, airway status, and level of consciousness in the immediate post-operative period
Manage pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols
Participate in on-call coverage, including weekday call (1900–0500) and weekend call (0500–0500); nurses are not required to be on-site if no cases are scheduled
Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe patient transitions and handoffs
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio or compact licensure eligibility
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Prior PACU or post-anesthesia care nursing experience
Ability to participate in on-call rotation including weekday and weekend call shifts
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in an ambulatory surgery or outpatient surgical setting
Familiarity with a variety of surgical specialties and anesthesia recovery protocols
