Key Responsibilities- Assume responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients throughout the assigned shift
- Prescribe and deliver nursing care based on the nursing process, consistent with the medical plan of care and patient/family input
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary health care team members to coordinate patient care delivery
- Incorporate patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care
- Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire
- PALS certification required within 1 year of hire
- Demonstrated competency in IV Sedation within 6 months of hire
- EPIC experience within the last 12 months and recent Cerner experience required; each work history entry must include the charting system used
Preferred Experience / Skills- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
