THE ROLE

PACU for a full-time permanent role in Los Alamos, NM 87544. The successful candidate will provide post-anesthesia recovery nursing care, monitoring patients immediately following surgical and procedural interventions. This is a direct hire opportunity within a facility-based acute care setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor and assess patients in the immediate post-anesthesia recovery phase Manage airway, hemodynamic stability, pain, and emergence from anesthesia Administer medications and interventions per physician orders and PACU protocols Communicate patient status to surgical team, anesthesia, and receiving unit RN Maintain accurate EMR documentation of all PACU assessments and nursing interventions

REQUIREMENTS

Must-Have

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Active and unencumbered RN License current and in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification current
  • Minimum 1+ year of RN experience working in PACU
