Registered Nurse – PACU

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (8:00 PM – 8:00 AM) | 36 hours per week | 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care and monitoring for patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions
- Manage patients requiring high-frequency ventilators and oscillators
- Monitor and manage intracranial pressure (ICP) in applicable patient populations
- Assess, document, and respond to changes in patient condition throughout the post-operative recovery phase
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe patient transitions out of the PACU
Required Qualifications
- Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license – must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 18 months of PACU experience within the past 3 years
- Experience with high-frequency ventilators and oscillators
- Experience with intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring and management
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-acuity or Level I trauma PACU environment
- Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills in a fast-paced post-operative setting
