Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10:00 - 20:30; 12:00 - 22:30 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in critical care or from a Level I Trauma Center required License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Vents, IV start, Telemetry, Critical Care Must-Have: Proficiency in managing complicated postoperative patients. Experience with multiple drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia. Experience with Epic charting system required. Candidate must be willing to pass Relias EKG exam for dysrhythmia interpretation and management. Description: The position requires an RN to work primarily rotating between PACU and the pre/post interventional radiology area. Shifts are 4x10-hour with varying start times as needed. There is a call requirement of 24 hours per 6-week schedule period. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:2. Candidates should have critical care experience and the ability to manage multiple complex patients. Special procedures include caring for surgical patients in various specialties, including gynecology, urology, and bariatrics. Candidates must be comfortable floating within the service line to meet facility needs. Weekend coverage is not required for this position. Travelers must comply with all standard policies and must fulfill contract agreements. Compliance with licensing and certification requirements is mandatory for consideration.
