Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty License: Must have a nursing license in hand upon submission Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - Charge experience preferred - Experience with Epic charting system preferred - Previous trauma level I and/or II experience preferred - Travel experience required Description: Ensure awareness of the assignment expectations. There may be assignments to an "Emergency Team" during your tenure. You may be expected to stay until after the event passes or join a relief team. Specific pay details will vary by emergency event. Report as assigned by the unit manager during such events. Do not apply for this role if you are uncomfortable with these conditions. Shift details include call every third weekend, usually scheduled on a volunteer basis. Call would typically be from 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM. Holidays are part of the call schedule. Patient ratios may go up to 1:4 to manage overflow patients. The unit does not accept first-time travelers. Scrub color is royal blue. Experience required includes: - Management of various patient conditions in the PACU - Monitoring and assisting with recovery post-surgery - Familiarity with end-tidal CO2 monitoring and cardiac arrest protocols - Administration of medications and monitoring of vital signs. Indicate experience with diverse patient age groups, including adolescents and geriatrics. Experience in inpatient settings and handling various surgical procedures is beneficial. Knowledge of specialized medical equipment and procedures is advantageous. References are not required for submission but will be needed for clearance to start. Candidates are expected to provide valid proof of certifications with profiles.
