The RN focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN applies educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care and mentoring staff. Job Responsibilities: - Performs assessments and reassessments per policy and procedure or as warranted by patient condition. - Demonstrates the ability to make sound independent decisions. - Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care and reviews and revises the plan as needed. - Collaborates with patient/family and interdisciplinary services. - Utilizes resources appropriately to support the needs of the organization/patient/family. - Monitors and documents response to clinical interventions. - Facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates education specific to patient/family needs during their stay and at discharge. - Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel. - Functions as a mentor/preceptor and fosters teamwork. - Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement. - Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts. - Implements practice changes and complies with regulatory standards. - Participates in the governance model.
