Description:
Please ensure traveler is aware of the following:
Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, your unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team."
There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or to be part of the relief team.
Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts may vary.
By signing your travel contract, you accept the above expectations.
You will report as assigned by your immediate unit manager if an emergency event were to occur.
You should not apply for this role if you are not comfortable with the above circumstances.
Nurses care for pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery for both pediatric and adult populations.
This department provides pre/post-op care to patients in a total of 34 operating rooms across two floors.
The first floor has 6 operating rooms, 2 cysto suites, and a shared Pediatric GI/Lithotripsy room.
This section has a high volume of pediatric patients.
The second floor surgical setting has 28 operating rooms and services cases from various specialties.
Candidates should be prepared to care for patients of all ages in both pre-op and recovery phases.
Special equipment includes a Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, and Accuvein system.
Preferred candidates will have a background in PACU or pre/post-op experiences, with critical care post-op experience preferred.
Patient ratio is typically 1:2.
Candidates should be prepared for 2-3 scheduled weekends per contract.
