About the Position:
PACU RN position available.
Shift pattern is 4x10s, days, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
One night a week requires a late shift.
The late nurse stays on the unit as the second nurse until the last case in the operating room is completed and recovered.
Late nurses can leave once the last patient is recovered.
They will receive call back pay starting at 6 PM until they leave for the evening.
The call nurse has similar responsibilities but remains on call after leaving.
Patient ratio is 1:2.
Call requirements include one call night a week and one call weekend every six weeks.
This position does not require floating between units.
Additional Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Some specialties included are general surgery, endoscopy, orthopedics, and ENT.
Knowledge and experience in critical care are preferred.
All requested time off must be included at the time of submission.
Travelers must be aware that they may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November.
The facility may call off one shift every two weeks; called off hours can be broken down to accumulate to one shift.
All labs must be completed within 72 hours of signing if within 90 days of start, or at least two weeks prior to the hard document due date.
Modules are non-billable and average four hours spent on completion.
All modules must be completed before the start date.
