Description:
Candidates applying to this position must have a minimum of 3 years of recent full-time experience as a Perioperative Care Center RN in a high-volume hospital setting.
Candidates should have demonstrated proficiency in postoperative and post-procedure phases of patient care.
The PACU RN evaluates patients' responses to treatment and interventions.
The PACU RN manages pain according to established guidelines.
Candidates must anticipate surgical and procedural specific needs based on knowledge of procedures performed and related pathophysiology.
Compliance with established policies, procedures, and protocols is essential.
Candidates with less experience or those requiring extensive onboarding will not be considered.
Verifiable references from previous experience must be provided.
Candidates must have the ability to rapidly integrate into a fast-paced surgical environment.
This contract schedule is for a 10-hour day shift, weekdays.
Candidates will not participate in on-call, weekends, or holiday shifts.
The unit provides Phase I and II recovery of patients undergoing surgery or other invasive procedures.
An average of 70-90 patients is cared for daily during weekdays, ranging from ambulatory surgical procedures to complex surgical and other procedures.
This includes complex cardiovascular, orthopedic, spine, and robotic procedures.
