PACU staff manage patient airways, pain levels, vital signs, and all other post-surgical needs before transporting patients for continued observation.

Candidates must have pediatric experience in the operating room. The Post Anesthesia Care Unit is a highly skilled 8-bay unit. Patients are transported immediately after surgery to the PACU to be monitored with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1. PACU staff manage patient airways, pain levels, vital signs, and all other post-surgical needs before transporting patients for continued observation. PACU is part of Surgical Services, emphasizing patient satisfaction and safety. This role involves working as part of a team to ensure that patients have a positive experience during their stay. All areas within Surgical Services work collaboratively to provide optimal care using the latest surgical technology and equipment.
