Job Title: Registered Nurse - PACU Profession: RN Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 08:00 - 20:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Valid RN license Certifications: None required Must-Have: - Advanced skills in ICU/PACU - ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications Description: The unit has 16 beds and a patient ratio of 1:2. There are no unit secretaries or techs; only RNs are on staff. Type of equipment includes bedside monitors and a-lines. The documentation system used is Meditech. Scheduling requirements include 12-hour shifts with call rotations. No floating is allowed within the organization. The unit performs intubations; however, anesthesia leads this procedure. Preferred certifications include CCRN and CAPA. Navy blue scrubs are required as the uniform. Great teamwork is emphasized in the unit culture. This position promotes a collaborative work environment. Candidates will find new equipment and technology available. The staff consists of experienced professionals in the field. Incentives for schedule options may be provided.
