Job Summary
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN position available in Wichita, Kansas. This role involves providing specialized critical care to pediatric patients in a Level II trauma unit within a teaching hospital. The position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and adherence to unit policies and protocols.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours shift hours, minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications, candidates must have a minimum of 1-year current acute care hospital PICU RN experience, located in the United States.
  • Preferred Qualifications: CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) experience, APHON (Association of Pediatric Hematology / Oncology Nurses) certification, pediatric teaching hospital experience.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The unit primarily performs IV starts and blood draws, TPT (Placement of Tunneled Pleural Catheters), and best fits those who work well under pressure in a teaching hospital environment.
