Job Summary
Operating Room Pediatrics (OR PEDS) specialization in Chicago, Illinois. This assignment involves providing specialized pediatric surgical support within the operating room environment. The position is for a duration of 20 weeks with a schedule of 10-hour days focusing on the needs of a cardiac team. The professional must be available Monday through Friday with weekend and holiday call responsibilities.

Job Details

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts during the day, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 08/17/2026
• Required Qualifications: Certification in pediatric operating room procedures, Illinois licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of operating room experience, and experience working with pediatric patients. FLU and COVID vaccination documentation with both doses and lot numbers must be submitted prior to start.
• Preferred Qualifications: Scrub experience in pediatric surgery preferred.
• Additional Information: Assignment is for 20 weeks; local rate is applicable for those within 50 miles. The role involves working with a 7-member cardiac team using standard operating room equipment, including a defibrillator. Orientation will be conducted over 2 weeks. Professionals will utilize the Epic electronic medical record system and adhere to a casual dress code. Participation in holiday and call coverage (including weekend call) is required, with 7 call days per month.
