Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days/Evenings | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30 or 12:00–00:00)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric PACU setting, including pre-operative and post-anesthesia recovery
- Apply pediatric critical care skills to monitor and manage patients in the perioperative environment
- Document patient assessments and care accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Float to other units or facilities as needed when qualifications meet the requirements of the receiving area
- Complete required non-billable orientation modules prior to start and annually as required
Required Qualifications- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submission
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Pediatric Pre-Op/PACU and Pediatric Critical Care
Preferred Experience / Skills- CCRN certification
- CPAN (Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse) certification
- CAPA (Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse) certification
- Prior experience in a teaching hospital environment
