Registered Nurse – PACU (Pediatric)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Sunday through Thursday | No on-call required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients in a PACU setting
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe patient transitions
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of pediatric PACU experience required
- BLS and PALS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
- Must pass a Telemetry exam (pediatric and adult) prior to start; passing score of 80% or higher with 100% identification of lethal rhythms required
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care inpatient experience within the last 3 years in the submitted specialty
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a high-acuity or Level I Pediatric Trauma Center environment
- Familiarity with cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
