Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in the Twin Cities area. The role involves providing specialized nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents with cardiac conditions, including pre-operative and immediate post-operative cardiac surgical patients, and trauma patients. The position offers flexibility to float between facilities as needed, with a focus on family-centered patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, either straight days or straight nights, with shift length of 12 hours, and minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited nursing school, Minnesota RN license or temporary permit, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, and at least two (2) years of PICU nursing experience, including care for pre-operative and immediate post-operative PICU surgical patients, trauma patients, or two (2) years of pediatric cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) nursing experience, including care for pre-operative and immediate post-operative cardiac surgical patients and pre- and post-cardiac procedural patients.

- Additional Information: The successful candidate will coordinate and provide family-centered nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
