Job Title: Pediatric Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 1800 - 0630 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years License: A valid, current, full and unrestricted Professional Nursing License to practice nursing in any state of the United States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association. Complete Pediatric Trauma Care After Resuscitation (P-CAR) within 6 months of hire. NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) must be completed within 6 months of hire. Must-Have: Associate's or bachelor's degree in Nursing. Ability to work independently. Description: The nursing staff performs a variety of nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration for specific patient conditions and treatments. Guidelines include physician orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures manuals, and hospital policies. Nursing duties include support to individuals of all ages and their families. Housing options are limited, with shared housing units available. The community offers a culturally rich environment with a diverse population. The facility provides a wide range of services, including inpatient and outpatient emergency services, dental services, obstetrics, and various surgical procedures. Approximately 49% of the surgeries performed are outpatient or ambulatory surgical procedures. The staff includes various medical providers, including surgeons, pediatricians, family practice physicians, and dental staff. The nursing team comprises registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and community health nurses. This position requires a commitment to maintaining current certifications throughout employment.
