Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric PACU Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:30 - 20:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of pediatric PACU experience required License: Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS and PALS AHA only required Must-Have: Epic experience required Telemetry test required prior to starting Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse to be responsible for independent peri-anesthetic management of complex varied surgical and procedural inpatient and outpatient pediatric populations. The role involves caring for a varied caseload of surgical and procedural patients. A PM rotation is required every 10-12 weeks, working until 11:00 PM. Weekday on-call responsibility from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM is also required. The position requires accessing and managing ports, airway assessment, and care of ventilated patients. Experience in blood product administration, central line care, and chest tube management is essential. Candidates should be proficient in pain assessment and management, as well as monitoring end-tidal CO2. Knowledge of dysrhythmia recognition and management is necessary. Travelers will be required to float as needed. The position involves working within a multidisciplinary team, including IV teams and respiratory services. Telemetry certification testing will take place before the start date, with strict passing criteria. Candidates should be knowledgeable in care for neonates, infants, children, adolescents, and adults. This role provides an opportunity to join a facility recognized for expert pediatric care.
