Key Responsibilities of the Travel Pediatric OR Nurse:
- Provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing care to pediatric patients.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, and maintain sterile fields during procedures.
- Educate and support patients' families through the surgical process.
- Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately and efficiently.
Requirements of a Travel Pediatric OR Nurse:
- Active North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact state eligibility
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an pediatric operating room or surgical nursing setting
