Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty. License: Required RN License. Certifications: BLS required. PALS preferred. Must-Have: - Pediatric Operating Room experience - Experience in an ambulatory operating room - Pediatric trauma experience - Proficiency in Epic charting system - Experience related to trauma Level I and Level II Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the pediatric operating room. Pediatric operating room and ambulatory operating room experience is required. Pediatric trauma experience is also essential. A valid RN license is necessary. BLS certification, from AHA only, is required. Candidates must have previous charge experience and familiarity with patient ratios. The role includes various surgical procedures such as appendectomy, circumcision, and tonsillectomy. Knowledge of specific skills like administering blood products and assisting in anesthesia induction is essential. The position also requires knowledge of infection control and wound management. The ability to respond to code situations is required. Compliance with safety regulations and protocols is mandatory. Travelers may be required to float to different units as needed based on staffing requirements. Weekend shifts and some holiday coverage may be required during the contract period. Pass/fail testing for telemetry competency is required prior to starting the assignment. A telemetry exam must be passed with a score of 80% or higher.
