Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Floor Nurse, Med-surg Adult, Med-surg Mother/Baby, Med-surg Peds Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days and nights Hours per Shift: 32 guaranteed hours Experience: Minimum 3 years preferred; new graduates accepted License: Must be licensed in good standing as a Registered Professional Nurse Certifications: Current BLS, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training Must-Have: Proficient oral and written communication skills. Description: Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating nursing care for patients based on nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide quality, cost-effective, and efficient care to achieve the best possible patient outcomes. Serves as a resource person when the situation requires. Applies age-specific considerations and cultural diversity when rendering patient care. Supports the mission of the organization. Responsible for the care of all patients from birth to elderly, including post-surgical and behavioral health patients. Conducts the initial assessment and re-assessment every 24 hours. Requires completion of a nursing education program from an NLN-approved institution. Minimum experience preferred as dependent on position. Knowledge of medical terminology is necessary. Ability to work in a patient care setting. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to document actions involved in care delivery accurately. Theoretical knowledge of care management and continuity of care is required. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
