Job Title

Travel RN – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) | Night Shift | 13-Week Contract

Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13 Weeks | Projected Start: July 6, 2026

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to pediatric intensive care patients in a 14–22 bed unit, adjusting to acuity and census demands
  • Perform and assist with procedures including cleft palate repair, appendectomy, chest tube management, lumbar punctures, and seizure management
  • Support thoracic cases such as thoracotomy, thoracoscopy, and pectus bar implants, as well as neuro, orthopedic, and general surgery services
  • Maintain patient ratios in accordance with unit standards and collaborate within a full team environment
  • Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
  • Float to NICU Level 1 or Level 2 as needed; work 4 weekend days every 4 weeks with no on-call requirement
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 1 year of PICU experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification – required
  • Ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced pediatric intensive care environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Experience in a CNC-free unit environment
  • Familiarity with Meditech EMR
