Job Summary:
Psychiatric Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) traveler position in a behavioral health environment located at a campus site in Aurora, Colorado. This role involves providing acute psychiatric care in a fast-paced emergency setting, focusing on pediatric psychiatric patients. The position offers a 13-week assignment with scheduled night shifts, emphasizing collaborative, patient-centered care for individuals with complex psychiatric needs.

- Schedule: 36 hours per week, 13-week assignment starting on 08/18/2026 and ending on 11/21/2026

- Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Licensure/Certification: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, ability to become certified in Safety Carecovering safe movement from seated to standing position
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of professional nursing experience in relevant settings such as acute care, behavioral health, or medically complex environments
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in pediatric psychiatric emergency settings
- Behavior health background supporting patients with complex psychiatric, psychological, and medical needs
- Clinical experience with eating disorder populations (e.g., anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, ARFID) in inpatient, residential, or partial-hospitalization settings
- Competency in NG tube placement, monitoring, and maintenance
- Medical or surgical acute care experience, including vital sign monitoring and medical stabilization
- Skills in trauma-informed, patient-centered care with therapeutic boundaries
- Effective interdisciplinary collaboration and communication skills
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation
Additional Information:
- Client reserves the right to float or reassign personnel to other areas within their competence to fulfill scheduled hours within a thirty-five (35) mile radius of the originally assigned facility.
- No requested time off within the first two weeks of the assignment is permitted.
- Medical and religious exemption requests for the seasonal influenza vaccination are allowed.
