Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to hemodynamically stable patients on the Progressive Care Unit
- Monitor and assess patients with conditions like CHF, COPD, sepsis, and post-surgical needs
- Operate advanced medical equipment including chest tubes, arterial lines, and ventilators
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to deliver outstanding patient outcomes
- Support patients and families with emotional, spiritual, and cultural care
- Lead by example as a clinical resource and help precept new staff members
- Manage IV medications and provide skilled interventions for changing patient conditions
- Guide patients from admission through discharge with thoughtful planning and support
Qualifications
- Active Montana RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
- EPNC and TNCC certifications preferred
- Pediatric and post-heart catheterization experience a plus
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current Montana RN licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation
- Comfortable managing multiple IV pumps and advanced equipment
- Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Experience with central lines, chest tubes, and ventilatory support
- Knowledge of advanced nursing principles and medication management
