Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Burlington, Massachusetts. The role involves providing patient care in a PCU setting with a focus on monitoring and managing patients with varying levels of acuity. The position requires adherence to established clinical protocols and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Shift times are days, with every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday). Floating occurs in 4-hour blocks while on shift; while rare, floating may be necessary to other units such as Emergency Department holds, inpatient holds, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and other boarding units. Weekly start date is 08/24/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA), and at least 6 months of clinical experience in a PCU or similar setting. Candidates must be able to titrate pressors and have experience with Epic electronic medical records. Prior Level 1 trauma experience is preferred; if no travel experience is present, Level 1 trauma experience will be required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Additional Information: Must be able to demonstrate competency in titrating pressors. Day one pass/fail testing will be administered. Relias practice tests are available via Relias. Candidates must have been separated from the previous employer for at least 6 months to be considered (including perm, per diem, and contract roles). Verification and approval are required from the manager prior to placement.
