Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse position available in San Francisco, California. This role involves coordinating all aspects of patient care within the pre and post-transplant and disease management populations. The position requires providing patient medical management, assessments, discharge planning, and education, supporting patients through various phases of care.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Days, 8 hours shift, Monday through Friday, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree, valid California Registered Nursing license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, outpatient experience in Electronic Patient Records (EPIC Phoenix), a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in transplant populations or relevant specialty, and experience with cardiology, interpretation of laboratory results, medication reconciliation, and obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG and vital signs.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with transplant populations, interdisciplinary support with pharmacy, and familiarity with patient education regarding transplantation.
  • Additional Information: Candidate must have current licensure uploaded through Nursys within the last 2 weeks and applicable certifications with valid expiration dates. References required within the last year. Orientation includes 80 hours, with modules recorded through e-learning, typically 1-5 hours. No more than 7 days of request for leave of absence (RTO) per contract, and holiday RTO restrictions apply. All compliance documentation due 10 days prior to start date.
