Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Zanesville, Ohio. The RN will provide specialized patient care in a progressive care setting, focusing on cardiac step-down and post-operative open-heart patients. This role involves working day shifts, typically every third weekend, and covering one holiday per schedule. The position requires proficiency in electronic medical records and cardiac care, with additional responsibilities that may include caring for ventilated patients in rare circumstances.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum of three (3) years cardiac step-down experience including heart cath recovery, cardiac drips, post-op open-heart patients, and other cardiac/med-surg step-down patients. Must have experience with Epic electronic medical records. BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ventilated patients is beneficial, although ventilator care may be needed in rare circumstances.
  • Additional Information: Per updated BSA on 6.26.25, facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week contract. The start date, end date, and requested time off (RTO) must be identical to the confirmed schedule. All RTO requests must be disclosed at submission and included in the confirmation documentation. The facility may require the RN to float to other units if needed, although this is not expected under normal circumstances.
