Job Summary:
This opportunity is for a Step Down Unit Registered Nurse in a healthcare facility located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The position involves providing high-quality patient care to adults and geriatrics with complex needs, including respiratory failure, sepsis, and cardiac conditions. It requires a dedicated professional capable of managing a variety of clinical tasks during night shifts.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) license, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications in hand at the time of submittal. One year of experience in a step down or telemetry unit. Knowledge of cardiac telemetry, vent management, dysrhythmia interpretation, and complex patient care procedures.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, community hospital experience, and at least one year of clinical experience on a step-down or telemetry unit preferred.
  • Floats: Unless specifically stated otherwise, travelers will be expected to float to like units within their scope as needed based on facility needs. Travelers will receive brief orientation on the unit.
  • Additional Information: The unit supports interdisciplinary services including respiratory, pharmacy, social services, and interpretation support. The daily census averages 25 patients, with a patient ratio of 4:1 during nights. Candidates should be comfortable with procedures such as arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, wound care, and use of special equipment like TR band and wound vac.
