Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Work variable 4x10 shifts with start times of 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, or 9:00 AM
• 40 hours per week
• Weekend on-call every 5th weekend with a 30-minute response time
• Holiday rotation required
• One night of on-call per week for 4 weeks out of every 6-week schedule
• Call shift start time is 11:00 AM
• Call back minimum is 2 hours
• May be placed on low census/on-call during unbillable hours
• 14-bay PACU unit with a 1:2 patient ratio, averaging 35 patients per day
• Primary cases include general, spine and neuro, GI, ENT, cardiac, peripheral vascular, and orthopedic procedures
• Responsible for stabilizing ICU patients prior to transfer to the ICU
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• Recent hospital experience required; post-cardiac and pediatric experience required
• Epic charting strongly preferred; previous electronic charting experience required if no Epic experience
• Required certifications: WI RN License, AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Associate degree or certificate required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Scrubs of any color permitted

Facility:

This facility is a full-service acute care hospital offering a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services. The PACU unit consists of 14 bays and handles a high volume of diverse surgical cases including general surgery, spine and neurology, GI, ENT, cardiac, peripheral vascular, and orthopedic procedures. The unit also plays a critical role in stabilizing ICU-bound patients, making it a fast-paced and dynamic environment for experienced recovery nurses.
