Contract | Travel | Full-Time | Days | 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | 26-Week Assignment | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to patients ranging from pediatric (6 months) through geriatric populations in a 16-bed PACU unit
  • Monitor and manage patients in Pre-Op and Post-Op phases of surgical care with a 2:1 patient ratio
  • Utilize Epic EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments and interventions
  • Float to sister units as needed to provide helping hands support as case volume shifts, including an on-campus surgery center
  • Fulfill weekend requirements (one Saturday/Sunday per rotation) and holiday on-call obligations as needed
  • Respond to second-call requirements as needed per unit scheduling

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license in Virginia or a valid Compact State License
  • Minimum 2+ years of Pre-Op, Post-Op, and PACU RN experience
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association only)
  • NIHSS certification required
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR (required)
  • Ability to wear navy blue scrubs per facility dress code policy

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience titrating drips in a post-anesthesia or critical care setting
  • Cardiac nursing experience
  • Multi-specialty surgical experience
