- Weekly Pay:$2300 to $2600
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in an outpatient clinic or ambulatory care setting
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including obtaining medical histories and vital signs
- Administer medications, injections, IV therapies, immunizations, and prescribed treatments
- Prepare patients for examinations, diagnostic procedures, and minor outpatient interventions
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during outpatient procedures
- Monitor patient responses to treatments and report significant changes in condition
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and discharge instructions
- Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, follow-up care, and continuity of treatment
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and clinic policies
- Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care
- Promote a welcoming, efficient, and patient-centered clinical environment
Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum 1 year of recent Outpatient, Ambulatory Care, Clinic, or Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- ACLS Certification preferred depending on facility requirements
- Experience with IV therapy, medication administration, patient education, and outpatient procedures
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
- Ability to manage multiple patients efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient setting
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills
