Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in an outpatient clinic or ambulatory care setting
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including obtaining medical histories and vital signs
  • Administer medications, injections, IV therapies, immunizations, and prescribed treatments
  • Prepare patients for examinations, diagnostic procedures, and minor outpatient interventions
  • Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during outpatient procedures
  • Monitor patient responses to treatments and report significant changes in condition
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and discharge instructions
  • Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, follow-up care, and continuity of treatment
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and clinic policies
  • Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care
  • Promote a welcoming, efficient, and patient-centered clinical environment
Requirements
  • Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Outpatient, Ambulatory Care, Clinic, or Medical-Surgical nursing experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • ACLS Certification preferred depending on facility requirements
  • Experience with IV therapy, medication administration, patient education, and outpatient procedures
  • Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple patients efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient setting
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
