Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position available in Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves providing specialized nursing care within the surgical environment, supporting patient safety and wellbeing before, during, and after procedures. The position emphasizes collaboration with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes during complex surgical interventions.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with an expected start date of 08/03/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Current RN licensure in South Carolina or a recognized NCSBN compact state, BSN preferred or required within five years of hire, at least 2 years of operating room experience, including cardiac, open heart, vascular, or endovascular procedures. Ability to scrub and circulate. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider Card.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications such as CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) are highly desirable.
  • Additional Information: The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious materials is expected. Candidates must demonstrate critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to react calmly in emergency situations. The environment involves moderate noise levels and the possibility of work during weekends or holidays based on departmental needs.
