GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Albany, Georgia.

Job Details:
• Work shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM in a general OR setting with rotating days off
• Weekend and weekday call responsibilities required
• Weekend coverage required approximately once per quarter for RN's
• General on-call average is every 7th weekend with no call during the week
• Two specialty call teams (ortho/neuro and cardio/thoracic) - travelers may cover specialty call only if cases are within their competency
• Call response time is 30 minutes
• Facility operates 19 suites handling 55-60 cases per day, approximately 1,000 cases per month
• Common case types include full-service procedures such as ortho/neuro trauma, robotics, and cardio/thoracic - no major pediatric cases, no transplants, and no C-sections in the main OR
• Scrubbing is not required but preferred for RN's
• OR technicians must be CST certified
• Holidays rotate with permanent staff - flexibility required
• Scrubs are provided
• One week of floor-specific orientation provided
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
• Must reside within a strict 75-mile radius from the hospital based on the address on driver's license
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience required
• Basic competency in almost every service line required
• Skills checklist must accurately reflect experience - if marked a 3, must be proficient
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• BSN not required

This acute care facility is a full-service hospital functioning at a level 2 trauma center capacity, offering a wide range of surgical services including orthopedic, neurological, cardiovascular, thoracic, and robotic procedures. The facility operates 19 surgical suites and maintains 24/7 support from surgeons, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy services.
